Your Place or Mine
I will pet sit in your home or mine depending on your needs, your pet's needs/routine, and space availability at my home. If I pet sit in your home, I will visit from 1-3 times a day depending on the location and the pet's needs. If you have a cat or cats I can visit every other day.
Just Like Home
When a pet stays at my home, the pet gets the same attention you would give them at your home. If they sleep in your bed, then they sleep in my bed. If they have free run of the house while you are gone, they will have the same routine at my house when I am not at home, etc.
Are We Compatible
Pets that stay at my house MUST come for a FREE overnight before they will be accepted for boarding. You must be in town for this FREE overnight stay. This way if a pet does not want to stay at my house or is so agitated that they become aggressive or bark excessively, you can pick your pet up that evening and other arrangements can be made to take care of your pet at the pet's home when you are out of town. I will not allow a "trial" visit to negatively effect my other visitor dogs. They will not be subjected to aggressive, destructive, or loud behavior that will ruin their visit at my home. In four years, there have only been 3 dogs that fell into this category.
Setting Your Pet At Ease
It is always best to keep the pets' diet, bedding, food dish, toys, etc. the same no matter where the owner has the pet. I ask owners to bring those items with them when they drop a pet off at my house along with a leash and collar with ID tags. I can also administer medication, diabetic shots, and other injury treatments when a pet is left in my care. If necessary, I can bring the pet to the vet or groomer. We go on walks at my house every morning and evening with many other "outdoor opportunities" in my fenced in yard during the day.
The Lived-in Look
If I will be visiting the pet in your home, I can also bring in the mail or newspapers, water the plants inside and outside, change the lighting of the rooms; so that the house doesn't appear to be vacant. I am insured by PSI (Pet Sitters International) and have many satisfied customers who have agreed to serve as references for my service and reputation.
